چکیده

• The carbonation process of cement with supercritical CO 2 was reevaluated. Fast, low-cost, and reliable models were obtained to quantify CaCO 3 in by FTIR. effect on the matrix must be considered for development PLS. fractions relevant PLS regression are portlandite, C-S-H. model showed a good correlation coefficient low prediction error. Partial least squares (PLS) developed study material matrix. results presented (R = 0.9995) estimation error (RMSEP 3.61 mg /g cement). From results, it observed that portlandite consumption, increase content C-S-H decalcification-polymerization most chemical transformations. Thus, concluded that: i ) is possible obtain fast, FTIR ii method applicable carbonated cement-based materials.

Rapid Quantification of Methamphetamine: Using Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and Chemometrics

In Australia and increasingly worldwide, methamphetamine is one of the most commonly seized drugs analysed by forensic chemists. The current well-established GC/MS methods used to identify and quantify methamphetamine are lengthy, expensive processes, but often rapid analysis is requested by undercover police leading to an interest in developing this new analytical technique. Ninety six illicit...

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and multivariate analysis for the detection and quantification of different milk species.

The authenticity of milk and milk products is important and has extended health, cultural, and financial implications. Current analytical methods for the detection of milk adulteration are slow, laborious, and therefore impractical for use in routine milk screening by the dairy industry. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is a rapid biochemical fingerprinting technique that could b...
